Ammonites were predatory mollusks that resembled squid. These cephalopods had eyes, tentacles, and spiral shells.

Pliny the Elder first recorded these fossils in 79 A.D. near Pompeii and originally named them Ammonis Cornua after their horn-like shape.

Ammonites were one of the longest living creatures this world has ever seen. They roamed our seas freely for nearly 350 million years. This was a testament to their will to not only live but become intelligent enough to outwit millions of years of evolutionary creatures!

The grounding effect of ammonites is helpful with issues of blood pressure, stabilizing the pulse. It also helps with problems with the ears, and calming tinnitus. The soothing quality overcomes degenerative disorders.
